INCLUDOMaking Inclusive Values Attractive in Secondary Education – is a two-year Erasmus+ project (2024–2026) that brings together educators and researchers from Latvia, Estonia, and Spain.

The project’s long-term goal is to promote inclusive values and attitudes among teachers and late adolescence students (aged 16–19), strengthening the social environment both within and beyond the school education system. It focuses on supporting teachers in developing strategies and practices that make inclusion, empathy, and cooperation engaging and meaningful for adolescents.

Led by the University of Latvia, the partnership includes six institutions – three universities, two schools, and one teacher training centre. Together, the partners are building a bridge between research and classroom practice, empowering teachers to make inclusivity not just an idea, but a living and visible value in their schools.

Over two years, 15 experts and more than 100 teachers will work together across borders, sharing ideas, co-creating materials, and testing new approaches to help young people embrace empathy, respect, equality, and diversity.

The INCLUDO project will jointly develop three main results:

  1. International research report – a compilation of best practices and the latest research on promoting inclusive attitudes among adolescents in schools.

  2. Teacher's Handbook – a research-based, easy-to-use resource designed for educators.

  3. Flexible 12-hour Teacher Training Course – a professional development programme for teachers, to be piloted in each partner country.

The results of the project will deeply impact the school education system by a wide dissemination through a dedicated website, 15 video-stories, intensive presence in teachers’ networks, social media and platforms and publications for schools, and through the organisation of multiplier events in each partner country, reaching ca 1000 teachers. Transnational meetings will facilitate the implementation and widen the dissemination of results. This project will contribute sustainably, in an eco-friendly, digitally fit and cost-efficient way to promote inclusivity in the education system and youngsters’ joy displaying inclusive attitudes.

Implementation Period: 01.11.2024 – 31.10.2026 (24 months)
